The idea to create the Kyoto series came to me when I was standing on the terrace of the Kiyomizu-dera temple, looking down at the marvelous garden and the mountains afar covered by the woods.
The Kyoto series is my song dedicated to Japan. I collected the best ingredients one could find in this country, brought them to Canada and spent a year formulating the three products that make up the series.
To the Facial Cream I added:
- Camelia Oil that enhances protective properties of the skin and makes it smooth and gentle
- Sencha Tea Extract that exerts strong anti-oxidant effects
- Perilla Oil known for its anti-inflammatory and healing properties
- Torreya Nucifera (Kaya) Oil, a unique ingredient that has anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant activities
The facial cream has a scent of the coniferous forest afar and the beautiful garden below the terrace of the ancient Buddhist shrine.
The Mask is a different verse of my song. It is about the ocean surrounding Japan and the ancient tradition of a tea ceremony.
The Mask contains two types of Seaweed enriched with micronutrients, as well as Matcha Tea containing some of the strongest anti-oxidants.
The Soap of the Kyoto series gently cleanses the skin without excessive drying. It has a deep green color and a scent of grass and sea. High cost of its ingredients makes it the most expensive soap I have never made.
I fell deeply in love with Japan. The Kyoto series is the expression of this love. Many of my customers shared rapturous reviews saying that their skin changed in no time to become taut, smooth and healthy after they had started using the Kyoto products.
