Essence of my cosmetics

My cosmetics not only improve the skin, they bring joy. My products are for those who miss the scent of forest, sea and meadow, who adore the sun and nature. Flavors of genuine rose oil, sandalwood, flowers and fruits from all over the world will put you in a good mood and help you feel joy at the beauty and harmony of our big world.

Effectiveness (formulations)

92 to 96% of my cosmetics are from artesian (deep well) water, aloe vera gel, cold pressed organic oils, essential oils, vitamins and botanical extracts

–       All day creams contain anti-oxidants and are made using hyaluronic acid gel. They effectively hydrate the skin during the day, while protecting from damaging environmental factors.

–       Night creams are enriched with oils with a high content of essential fatty acids. They also have low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, botanical extracts, vitamins and other ingredients helping the skin restore itself during sleep.

–       Cosmetic products specifically formulated to counteract acne, couperosis and other localized skin problems contain effective components capable of helping “temperamental” skin.

Unique recipes (effectiveness)

The effectiveness of the ingredients used in my recipes is validated in clinical or laboratory studies. My husband, Dmitry Klokov, PhD in Biology, helps me with scientific literature.

Early on, I was making customized recipes for every single customer – to account for skin type, age, and specific issues. However, such personalization is not necessary anymore, because I have selected the most effective formulations which I used to create a variety of products for various types of skin. Yet, my formulations are constantly evolving – I follow recent developments in the field, I screen for other effective ingredients to add to current and validated recipes. That is how I keep increasing the effectiveness of my products.

Natural Ingredients

Components of my cosmetics come from all over the world, often from exotic and remote parts of the planet. In fact, I prefer ingredients made in countries where traditional manufacturing is still being used and where a pristine environment is preserved.

The cost of ingredients is not a factor for me, I always choose the best quality. My green coffee oil comes from Brazil, shea butter – from Africa, sandalwood – from India, camelia seed oil – from Japan. For instance, I use organic CO2 white rose extract, the most valuable and expensive aromatic rose essence.

For the most part, I do not add synthetic components. My products do not need strong preservatives – my cosmetics do not sit in a warehouse. They are made in small batches and shipped to customers almost instantaneously. My products contain only about 1% gentle and safe preservative complexes allowing you to safely use the cosmetics within 6 months. Another 4-8% is validated and safe emulsifiers. They are used to make the cream texture possible.

Organic

Ninety percent of my ingredients are certified organic. That means they are made of plants that are grown without the use of pesticides or harvested in the wilderness. I also tend to choose products with “Fairtrade” certification. This label confirms that the workers who made the product in developing countries were paid a decent salary.

The rosewood oil I use is manufactured by farms using renewable plantation technologies – i follow these principles. My goal is to minimize harm to the Earth’s environment.

Manual manufacturing

My cosmetics are handmade. However, the technology is no different from quality-controlled industrial production. Therefore my cream is not a simple mixture of water and oil, it has the light and tender texture that you are so used to.

Almost every product, except for serum, contains 3-4 phases. The base of a cream has two phases:

  •      Oils (the thermoresistant oils and emulsifier)
  •      Water (with gel-forming additives)

The two phases are brought to 70 oC and mixed at high speed. This results in an emulsion. After cooling, two active phases are added, water- and oil-based, followed by preserving and dispensing into sterile bottles.

I personally control each stage of production and ensure it meets hygiene standards.

In 2017, with the help of the renowned art studio Suprematika, we rebranded. Now our products are offered in stylish and ergonomic formats.
